I found another forum where I can talk to people about things I’m interested in. It’s called Christianforums.com. I think my teachers over at the Catholic church disowned me. I miss the theology discussions we had. Hoping to replace them with people online. Having a good time talking with other artists, so I decided to explore other forums. I guess this is my sneaky way of getting around my “no social media” rule.
I’m plumb sick and tired of catastrophism, but guess I’ll keep this one site. If we ever do get hit with something horrible, I expect I’ll hear it here first. I don’t do TV, radio or newspapers. In fact, I lead a pretty quiet life out here in the woods. It’s actually pretty nice, but I feel the need to talk to someone interesting once in awhile. A lot of good people out here, but I’m sorry say, not especially interesting.

Some concern with the cold weather in Australia. Due to my international travels I found that the weather in Southeast Australia tends to predict what the weather six months later will be in the Northwest US. Odd correlation, but it generally aligns. With La Nina surfacing and the current winter weather down under, it would appear the weather here in NW Oregon could be very cold and wet this winter. I have started preparing for it. And as a botanist I fully understand CO2 is indeed plant food, cannot hold heat, and is critical for the production of oxygen that we breathe via photosynthesis. In the case of CO2, more is better.
According to some of the forecasts from tripicaltidbits (GFS), it seems that in Southern America, especially in the southern region of Brazil, (where I live) there will be very cold weather. And in the Serra Catarinense and high mountains, a snowfall of 20 to 26cm forecast. A period that will show a slight trend of what we will have in the future, which is not extreme heat, like MSM loves, it will be from July 29th July to August 1st, it will be coming a strong event. At least for the local climatological standard. The Winter is coming…

It certainly seems that various people will not consider TRENDS in weather and climate unless there is UNBROKEN data indicating years and years and years of record breaking temperatures WITH NO ANOMALOUS temperature periods whatsoever. ALSO, various people will not consider TRENDS in weather and climate to be valid unless those years and years and years of record breaking weather occur in the specific location where the person commenting resides.
Basically, going forward, everyone reading the comments under any post needs to be aware that there are those who hold to this philosophy: If it hasn’t been record breaking weather for THREE OR MORE DECADES IN MY OWN BACKYARD WITH ABSOLUTELY ZERO WEATHER ANOMALIES, then all claims that go against my view on weather are wrong.

Fire danger found lower menu. Fire danger because very dry no big snow build up in that area or rain. More area under extreme fire danger than area forecast for a little snow that will melt next week.
